For those out there who are still on the fence about buying a 2022 Dodge Challenger/Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye widebody, the new ‘Jailbreak’ options may swing your decision.

What is the Dodge Jailbreak?
The Jailbreak models will unlock extra color options for both the interior and exterior, trim and badge variations, seats, steering wheels, and other choices for things like floor mats, seat belts, wheels, and calipers. With so many variables available, Dodge has created their own combos, such as the ‘Brass Funky’ combo which provides a Hellraisin color scheme with sepia accents.

Other goodies include an engine calibration which will boost the output to 807hp from the regular 797hp as it comes from the factory. As for pricing, the Jailbreak models add $995 to the total price and is available from the end of the year.

The announcement of these new options coincides with Dodge’s ‘Never Lift campaign’ which will see new releases every three months over the next two years.

Is it worth it?
After the big news recently of Dodge planning to phase out gas-powered cars by 2024, we really only have two years to snap up what could be future classics. Unique options have always been a collector’s item, so maybe dive into this one with this thought in mind. Below are two videos that get up close and personal with the jailbreak models to see if they are worth the price.
